What are the responsibilities and job description for the OBW Promotions Supervisor position at Ocean Breeze Waterpark?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- As a waterpark supervisor, this position will be knowledgeable about the day-to-day operation of the waterpark and the facility to ensure quality leadership of team members, as well as the ability to provide a high level of customer service to all guests.
- Participate in the ongoing training of marketing and sales department team members and be responsible for their follow through on assigned tasks.
- Develop a strong portfolio of both video and photo of the waterpark in operation
- Responsible for ensuring that daily announcement coverage, digital screen, opening and closing announcements and park wide music schedule are prepared for each operating day.
- Provide operational leadership for park wide promotions like Passholder Nights, Dive-In Movies and large-scale group events like Sensory Friendly night, Adult Nights, theme nights or private rentals.
- Gain a thorough understanding of promotions and messaging necessary to guests related to all ticket types and in park resources, before, during and after the event.
- Assist with lead management particularly related to season pass, camp, group sales and cabanas.
- Maintain the circulation of internal communication to in park team members about changing or new promotions, for example the virtual “battlebook,” updates to blasts, break room signage and texts.
- Assist with the development of external collateral that guests and potential guests will view to include in park announcements, menus, signage, social media posts, eblasts, in park coupons and website updates.
- Assist with the coordination of mascot in park appearances
- Be a part of establishing and rolling out promotional campaigns for various resources, working with various department directors and their teams to identify needs to ensure effective outcomes for example: sell more souvenir cups as a KPI.
- Support leadership in tasks related to opening and closing the sales office each day
- Apply existing skills or build and develop new skills to design and create collateral.
- Assist with the documentation and evaluation of analytics reports concerning traffic and conversion of visitors on a weekly basis along with reporting during crucial deadlines.
- Create and launch surveys and polls
- Participate in cashier training and occasionally be prepared to assist our department and other departments with transactions or long guest lines
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience in the field of marketing with interest in the major platforms and their best practices with the following programs preferred. Including TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest and Facebook, Excel, Canva, Hootsuite, WordPress, Promo.com
- Experience with utilizing an iPhone to generate video and photo content preferred
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to interface with cross-functional teams in a professional manner.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask, handling several projects at once and meeting deadlines.
- Possession of a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality.
- A basic understanding of design and print services.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and efficiently manage time.
- Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
- Ability to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationships.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to bend, lift, carry 25 lbs. and perform other physical duties involved with promotions and events.
