The Casino Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for assisting with preventative maintenance and completing work orders to maintain the Ocean Casino Resort.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for working from blueprints or verbal and/or written instructions.
- Responsible for maintaining shop area, spare parts area, storage area and inventories materials, equipment and associated parts of all the various trades.
- Possesses the ability for general repairs, basic installations, adjust and perform preventative/predictable maintenance and maintains the information in the shop log or documents her/her assignment through the work order system.
- Must have a security escort with entering or accessing restricted areas.
- Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend and twist for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas
- Must be able to lift/pull up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours
- Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand).
- Two years maintenance in a casino, Resort or hotel preferred.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires a basic working knowledge and understanding of electric, plumbing, HVAC, diagnostic equipment, and general maintenance
