About the Role
The Intern Human Resourcesprovides functional support to the human resources (HR) department by responding to employee questions and inquiries. Prepares appropriate documentation and processes necessary paperwork.
Position Responsibilities
- Handles various levels of HR related inquiries from team members and managers.
- Serve as first point of contact for all general HR inquiries, track all inquiries and escalates to other areas within HR when appropriate.
- Perform administrative duties associated with maintaining employee files and documents, reporting and auditing the accuracy of HR data.
- Provide administrative support to Employee Relations Team by scheduling meetings, answering telephone calls, and responding to basic Employee Relations inquiries from team members and managers.
- File all Employee Relations related paperwork, creating and labeling files.
Essential Functions
- Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the casino/hotel areas
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
What’s Required
• High School or equivalent diploma.
• Must have excellent PC skills including advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office software programs.
• Excellent grammar, pleasant phone manner and voice.
• Must be friendly, outgoing, congenial and a team player.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand).
