What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accountant / Bookkeeper / Human resources position at Bunting and Murray Construction Corporation?
We are seeking a detail-oriented individual to efficiently administer the company accounting systems and procedures with a focus on accounts payable, payroll, and human resources. Essential duties include:
• Administer the accounts payable system and ensure accurate and timely payments to vendors.
• Ensure vendors have updated and accurate files and ensure timely processing of lien waivers.
• Reconcile vendor statements, work with staff to ensure proper job cost allocation and general ledger postings.
• Process payroll; review and edit hours submitted by hourly workforce, track time off, process taxes, garnishments and 401k contributions and file all applicable documents.
• On-board new hires, process employee benefit changes and requests, see that employee benefit issues are resolved and questions answered.
Must be able to work independently, manage time efficiently, and communicate across various business lines. Must interact professionally with staff, clients and suppliers.
An ideal candidate will have Associate’s degree or higher along with strong financial skills and at least 2 years in an accounting or bookkeeping role. Must have experience and working knowledge of Windows based PC and Excel spreadsheets and MS Office. Financial accounting systems experience, human resources and a background in the construction industry experience is a plus.
