What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gatehouse Attendant position at Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club?
Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is looking for a friendly, attentive, and guest-focused Gate Attendant to be the welcoming face of our property. In this role, you'll create a positive first impression for every guest and member by offering a warm greeting, providing helpful directions, and sharing knowledge of our resort amenities and events.
The Gate Attendant monitors incoming flow of resort guests and members, offers a welcoming, hospitable greeting to everyone entering the property, provides general directional assistance. The Gate Attendant is responsible for providing accurate information regarding Resort, its outlets, activities and daily events in a friendly and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Provide warm friendly greeting and directional assistance to all guests entering the resort
·Ensure that vehicles entering resort grounds have proper decal or parking permit
·Direct members, guests and outlet patrons to the proper area of the resort by referring to the daily event reports
·Effectively communicate with Front Desk, bellmen and valet on VIP guest arrivals
·Offer general informational assistance regarding resort facilities and amenities
·Enforce parking restrictions with team members and the public at large for Ocean Edge.
·Inform management of any team member not following the proper parking restrictions.
·Perform all duties in accordance with Forbes Service industry standards
·Perform other tasks within the scope of duties as requested by Front Office Manager/ Director
Skills, qualifications and requirements
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
·Pleasant disposition
·Friendly, positive, helpful attitude
·Ability to multitask
·Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8 hrs)
·Knowledge of the local area preferred
·Previous experience in the guest service-related industry preferred
Job Type: Full time (32-40hrs/ week), seasonal

Uniform Requirements:
- Uniform attire as provided by the Resort, and grooming in accordance with the employee handbook
Additional responsibilities:
- As reasonably requested by FOM/ DOFO within the general scope of front office duties
