Golf Equipment Operator for Nicklaus-Designed Golf Course

Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club is seeking a Golf Equipment Operator to perform a variety of tasks in the maintenance of our Nicklaus-designed golf course. These tasks include operating equipment such as tractors, utility vehicles, ride-on mowers, bunker rakes, and small hand tools.

Job Description:

Under the supervision of the superintendent, the Equipment Operator is responsible for conducting daily routine maintenance on the golf course and surrounding areas. Duties include mowing greens, tees, fairways, and rough, as well as raking bunkers. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, a strong commitment to safety, and adaptability to changing water conditions.

Essential Functions:

• Operate all equipment used in daily course maintenance.

• Mow greens, tees, approaches, and fairways using ride-on reel-driven mowers.

• Perform detailed bunker raking using machinery.

• Maintain rough and native areas with a rotary mower.

• Follow directions to operate other equipment as assigned.

• Monitor fluid levels daily and replenish as needed.

• Utilize a front-end loader to move materials.

• Operate PTO attachments on tractors for various tasks.

• Drive utility vehicles and operate blowers on the course.

• Maintain flexibility to take on new tasks as directed by the superintendent.

• Always adhere to safe work practices.

• Return equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility, ensuring it is properly cleaned and serviced.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

• Regularly stand, sit, kneel, crouch, or bend.

Working Environment:

• Exposure to various weather conditions, including rain, wind, and sun.

• Extended periods of time spent in direct sunlight.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Pay: $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
