Analyst, Strategic Planning
Role Summary :
The mission of the Strategic Planning & Collaboration (SP&C) team is continuous process improvement across the full operational spectrum of ONE North America. Team projects encompass the areas of Terminal Operations, Marine Procurement, Cost Control, Asset Management, Vessel Operations, Rail Operations, Finance & Accounting, as well as cross-functional work with commercial divisions in support of ONE’s North American trade lanes (Transpacific, Transatlantic, Latin America). As a Strategic Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in coordinating and executing improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics, collaborating with stakeholders across all functions, and providing support to management.
Additional Responsibilities :
Drive various process improvement projects including tool creation and automation
Perform cost analysis; Reporting / Data development and visualization.
Coordination / Monitoring of Operational KPI progress.
Emerging Technology Review (GPS, Reefer Telematics, etc.)
Manage internal communication platforms and Operational Information Sharing.
Support new product / service implementation.
Coordination with Terminal / Rail Operations for Container Seal Exceptions or other incidents.
Coordinate with GHQ on crisis management.
Preparation of NA Operational “Health Check” reporting.
Facilitate the cross-functional meetings and projects.
Provide ad-hoc analysis and project support.
Core Required Skills and Competencies :
An open mind, sense of curiosity, and strong desire to learn the various aspects of container operations in North America.
Ability to analyze operational processes and develop process enhancement recommendations to SP&C Management.
Ability to collect / mine data, analyze, and create data-driven solutions to cross-functional regional challenges.
Strong teamwork / relationship building through collaboration across multiple NA Divisions (Trade Management, Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
Project ownership and completion.
Function-Specific Required Skills and Competencies :
Data Analysis Proficiency : Expertise in Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides), advanced Excel skills, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker) for data manipulation, analysis, and interpretation.
Effective Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Required Minimum Years Experience :
3 Years of Industry experience Preferred
Required Minimum Education :
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
