Position Overview :
The Front of House (FOH) Floor Manager will oversee the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for our guests. This individual will work closely with the General Manager and staff to maintain high standards of service, foster a positive team environment, and contribute to the success of Library Alehouse.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and supervise FOH staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure smooth operations during service.
Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and standards.
Assist with scheduling, monitor labor costs, and ensure proper staffing levels.
Provide on-the-floor support, addressing guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, events, and service expectations.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food service.
Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance of the dining area.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking FOH stock.
Handle cash, process payments, and oversee opening / closing procedures.
Qualifications :
Previous experience in a FOH management or supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Knowledge of craft beer, wine, and food pairings is a plus.
Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial reporting.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
