Position Overview:
The Front of House (FOH) Floor Manager will oversee the daily operations of the dining area, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for our guests. This individual will work closely with the General Manager and staff to maintain high standards of service, foster a positive team environment, and contribute to the success of Library Alehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise FOH staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, to ensure smooth operations during service.
- Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Assist with scheduling, monitor labor costs, and ensure proper staffing levels.
- Provide on-the-floor support, addressing guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests promptly and professionally.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily specials, events, and service expectations.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food service.
- Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Monitor cleanliness, organization, and overall ambiance of the dining area.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and tracking FOH stock.
- Handle cash, process payments, and oversee opening/closing procedures.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a FOH management or supervisory role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Knowledge of craft beer, wine, and food pairings is a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic financial reporting.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
