Summary
The Houseperson cleans the lobby, breakfast area, and halls in the hotel by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Cleans lobbies, lounges, meeting rooms, restaurants, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, guest laundries, and linen rooms.
- Moves furniture and rolls carpets to clean effectively.
- May assist with sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors. Occasionally cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills both indoors and out.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Answers guest calls for room supplies and luggage assistance.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in public and non-public spaces, including guest rooms. This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment, supplies, and chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise.

The employee is required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and following written and oral instructions and procedures.
