Summary
The Houseperson cleans the lobby, breakfast area, and halls in the hotel by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Cleans lobbies, lounges, meeting rooms, restaurant, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, guest laundries, and linen rooms.
- Moves furniture, and roll carpets to clean effectively.
- May assist with the sweeping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing of floors. Occasionally cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
- Dusts furniture.
- Washes walls, ceiling and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills both indoor and out.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Answers guest calls for room supplies and luggage assistance.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in public and non-public spaces including guest rooms. This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment, supplies and chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Required Education and Experience
- Prior work experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience in a housekeeping or laundry position.
