Summary
The Room Inspector supervises cleaning and inspects hotel guestrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and lobbies by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions

- Assigns work to cleaning personnel and trains personnel in housekeeping duties.
- Posts room occupancy records.
- Adjusts guest’s complaints regarding housekeeping service or equipment.
- Writes requisitions for room supplies and furnishing renovation or replacements.
- Reports need of room redecoration to Housekeeper.
- Examines carpets, drams and furniture for stains, damage, or wear.
- Checks and counts linens and supplies.
- Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personal of inadequacies.

Supervisory Responsibility
Directly supervises five or more Room Attendants. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s polies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; working closely with Executive Housekeeper on planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Work Environment
This job operates in public and non-public areas of the property, including guest rooms. This role routinely uses standard cleaning equipment, supplied, and chemicals. The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, and noise.

The employee is required to stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.

Required Education and Experience
- Prior work experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Prior experience in a housekeeping or laundry position.
