Position Location: We're all about flexibility! This will be a hybrid role based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
Ocean Spray Cranberries is looking for an Associate Manager, Customs & Trade Compliance to join our Supply Chain Team! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance for smooth supply chain operations. You will develop global customs and trade programs, design compliance awareness strategies, and oversee international goods processing procedures. You will also provide expertise on customs and trade compliance for business units and lead process audits to identify areas for improvement. Additionally, you will maintain trade compliance data systems, establish company standards with service providers, and lead global supply chain security initiatives.A Day in the Life...
* Develop and lead U.S., Canada & European Union customs compliance programs consistent with regional and local regulatory requirements. Offer customs consultation, guidance, and support to global operations teams in other countries. * Lead and maintain the company's C-TPAT and other global supply chain security initiatives, including external security and customs audits. * Lead annual Canadian harvest import preparation and operations. * Ensure compliant product origin labelling, tariff classification and free trade analysis pursuant to applicable regulations and global free trade programs. Provide guidance and training to other Customs Compliance Team members to ensure compliant data entry. * Lead critical customs compliance technology enhancement and stability projects to ensure compliance international customs data / document accuracy. * Review audit findings and develop corrective action strategies with global customs brokers, freight forwarders and related service providers. Monitor and evaluate provider performance against established standards and coach improvements. * Deliver customs compliance training to the organization, develop awareness. * Project work assigned within scope and skill set.What We Are Looking For:
* Strong knowledge of WTO harmonized tariff system
* Understanding of international trade laws
* Knowledge of free trade agreements, with deep understanding of the rules of origin for USMCA & CETA
* Strong understanding and application of customs valuation methods
* Expert on supply chain security and C-TPAT
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to present / educate peers and leaders on complex customs compliance topics
* Effective negotiating and influencing skills
* Knowledge of international logistics, experience preferred
* U.S. Customs Broker License required
* U.S. or Canadian Certified Customs Specialist
