What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Evening Receptionist position at Ocean View Christian Academy?
Role Summary
The evening receptionist at Ocean View Christian Academy is primarily responsible for keeping the main entrance secure and carrying out minor school support tasks. This may include answering phones, taking messages, receiving guests, etc. The evening receptionist reports to the director of administration. Due to the nature of the position this individual is a twelve-month hourly employee.
Scheduled hours: 4pm-6pm, Monday through Friday, plus filling in for our daytime receptionist on an as-needed basis.

Qualifications
- Maintain God ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, your children third and the ministry fourth
- Be an active member in good standing in a local, Christian, Bible teaching church
- Invest and invite the lost to know Jesus and come to church
- Personal religious daily testimony in word and deed is vital to your duties as an employee
- Warm personality with ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under limited supervision, self-motivated to get things done
- Knowledge of office management systems, procedures, office equipment, MS Office/Google Suite
- Demonstrate skills in administration, knowledge of modern business, leadership skills including attention to detail, problem-solving, written/verbal communication, organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- High School diploma or a minimum of two years related experience
- Communicate effectively with peers, employees, students & parents
Responsibilities
- Be the face and gatekeeper of our organizations. Keeps an active mind on security as a top priority for our students and faculty. The receptionist is the first line of defense for our students' safety.
- Handle incoming calls and other communications for OVCA and [OV]Church
- Greet and assist teachers, students, parents, guests, etc.
- Maintain the Welcome Center so that it is warm, clean, and welcoming to guests. Ensure all guests are offered coffee or water.
- Receive deliveries and ensure they get to the proper location in the building
- Ensure that the closing checklists are being completed properly
- Any other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
