Southeastern Virginia Training Center is hiring a part-time, weekend Receptionist to join our Security team at our 24-hour facility. The Receptionist is responsible for answering a multi-line phone system and demonstrating a high level of customer service. This position maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, issuing visitor badges and enforcing access control to the building.

About the Role
- Serves as the first point of contact for staff, individuals and visitors to the Facility.
- Responsible for answering a multi-line phone system and demonstrating a high level of customer service including answering general questions.
- The position maintains security by following procedures, monitoring logbook, issuing visitor badges and enforcing access control to the building.
- This position monitors visitor activity monitors video surveillance monitors, and contacts police and / or fire departments in the case of an emergency as well as acts in the capacity of first responder for emergency situations.
- The position works weekends and some holidays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- This position is hourly / wage and not eligible for benefits. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than 29 hours a week and are limited to working 1500 hours in a year.
