Position Title: Cleaning Professional - Commercial Cleaning

Reports To: Custodial Supervisor/Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Type: Full-time/Part-time

Position Summary:

Neptune’s Clean Team is responsible for ensuring that commercial spaces, such as offices, retail establishments, and industrial buildings, remain clean, sanitary, and well-maintained. The role involves performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks according to established company procedures and client requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces, restrooms, break rooms, and other high-touch areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in accordance with facility regulations.
• Perform outdoor cleaning duties, including removing trash, sweeping sidewalks and entryways, power washing surfaces, and maintaining the cleanliness of parking lots and exterior areas.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors to maintain a professional appearance.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet tissue in restrooms and break areas.
• Operate and maintain custodial equipment, such as floor buffers, carpet cleaners, and power washers.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or any necessary repairs to the supervisor.
• Secure facilities upon completion of duties, ensuring all doors, windows, and access points are locked.
• Adhere to company policies and client-specific cleaning standards.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned, including deep cleaning and post-construction cleanup.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors in commercial settings, including office buildings, retail stores, medical facilities, and industrial sites.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other environmental factors is common.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for certain tasks.
