GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general direction of an assigned supervisor, mentor students in the cafeteria, playground areas, restrooms and other areas of an assigned site.
FUNCTIONS
Monitor students in the cafeteria, playground areas, restrooms and other areas of an assigned school sites; assure student behavior complies with District rules and procedures.
Assist in resolving minor student conflicts on the playground.
Communicate unauthorized activities and unauthorized visitors to appropriate personnel.
Collects and keeps accounting of lunch program at school site.
Assure students arrive to class in a timely manner; collect equipment left in playground areas.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Assists students during meals.
Assists with cleaning cafeteria and yard by wiping tables, picking up trash, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school education with a diploma or equivalent; past experience in working with schools age children is highly desirable.
PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift and stand for prolonged periods; see to read fine print and for depth perception; use hands and fingers to perform tasks; speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate effectively.

Indoor and outdoor environment.
