Job Description
The Oceana County Road Commission is seeking Summer/Seasonal Employees for the position of Engineer Tech Assistant.
Position Details:
- Pay: $18.75 per hour (straight time, no benefits)
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Includes a paid 15-minute break and paid 20-minute lunch
- Job Responsibilities:A company vehicle will be provided during work hours for job-related tasks. Successful candidates must be able to read, write, and follow verbal & written instructions.
- Staking centerline for road projects
- Inspecting culverts, rating roads, and setting up traffic counters
- Conducting curve studies and laying out pavement markings
- Gathering asset management data
- Performing physical labor (lifting up to 75 lbs) in all weather conditions
Additional Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License required
- Must pass a background check and alcohol & drug test
- Safety-toed boots with a 6” cuff are required
