What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Engineering Aide position at Ottawa County Road Commission?
Ottawa County Road Commission has an opening for summer seasonal position in our Engineering department. This full time 1st shift position is available from May - August (can be flexible with start/end dates for school schedules as this is a perfect job for college students).
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Be able to outdoors in various weather.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; walk for extended periods of time; perform physical requirements such as kneeling and climbing ladders.
- Knowledgeable with computers to retrieve information
Responsibilities:
Assist with staking out construction projects, grade staking, slope staking, and surveying for construction and heavy maintenance projects as well as assisting with the inspection of construction projects.
Pay rate: $15.00/hour M-F with possibly some overtime.
