Position Summary

Oceaneering Mobile Robotics is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Owner to lead the development and execution of our innovative robotics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product ownership, particularly in cloud platforms and SaaS environments, with a passion for robotics.
Your team is an important part in our strategy to further develop our technology and business. You will be involved in innovative products, exploring new ways to make the control, management, configuration, deployment, and enhancements of our machines smarter, more automatic and more data driven. We have the clear goal to build things which will excite our customers. Given that we are a global company, we expect you to have the willingness to travel and stay abroad from time to time.

Duties & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL
  • Product Vision and Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for our software solutions, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Software Development: Lead the full software development lifecycle, from concept to launch, focusing on delivering modern and high-quality solutions.
  • Feature Definition and Backlog Management: Translate business needs into detailed product requirements and user stories, prioritize the product backlog, and ensure clarity for the development teams.
  • Stakeholders’ management: Engage with domain experts, customers, and end-users to understand their needs and use these insights to enhance our solutions.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate closely with engineering, UX, product management, sales, and other teams to drive product execution and deliver maximum value.
  • Agile Product Development: Apply agile methodologies to foster a collaborative and flexible development approach, ensuring iterative delivery of high-quality features.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Research: Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and evolving trends that inform the product roadmap and ensure competitiveness.
Qualifications

REQUIRED:
  • 5 years of experience in product ownership, particularly in developing, launching, and scaling cloud platforms, ideally in the robotics domain.
  • Proven track record in leading innovative software products from concept to market leadership.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to translate user pain points into valuable features.
  • Hands-on experience in product development within innovative environments.
  • Ability to combine strategic vision with rapid execution and iteration.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, iterative environments.
  • Strong business acumen and data-driven mindset.
  • Proficient in cloud services (preferably Azure) and microservices architecture.
DESIRED:
  • Experience with controlling autonomous robots.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with DevOps and service monitoring tools.
  • Experience with AI or machine learning.
  • Experience with designing big data systems.
  • Experience with writing control systems.
  • Experience with Cucumber and Selenium.
  • Experience with integrating with enterprise systems such as databases, ERP systems, and factory automation systems.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
