Join our team as an Accounting Clerk!

This is an in-person position working in our office Monday - Friday 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 p.m. in Boise, Idaho.

We are looking to hire an experienced, full-time Accounting Clerk for our office in Boise, ID who possesses strong accounting and interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask while managing multiple deadlines for our various entities.

Qualified candidates will have a strong working knowledge of accounting concepts, be thorough and motivated self-starters with the ability to operate independently and problem solve, are detailed-oriented and driven by the desire for accuracy and quality of work.

Qualified candidates will have 2 years’ experience in financial accounting, making general ledger journal entries, understand all aspects of accounts receivable.

Reports to :
  • Controller
  • Primary Duties include :

    • Make daily journal entries
    • Perform multiple bank reconciliations each month
    • Process daily payments received from customers and post to general ledger
    • Correspond with customers and vendors and respond to inquiries
    • Perform various month-end closing activities (making journal entries, running reports, balancing)
    • Review and maintain resale certificates received from customers
    • Prepare and file sales tax returns for multiple states
    • Perform other general clerical / office duties as needed
    • Handle internal and external requests for information and data
    • Education

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 2 years college accounting courses preferred
    • Skills Required

    • Learns quickly and builds on existing skill sets
    • Works independently under minimal supervision and resolves issues if they arise
    • Prioritizes workflow to meet deadlines
    • Communicates effectively & professionally
    • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel (strong knowledge of basic Excel functions)
    • Proficient with basic typing
    • 10-key by touch
