Ocosta Jr/Sr High School is now accepting applications for coaching positions in various sports. The school seeks qualified candidates to lead their teams in Spring: HS Head Track, HS Assist. Track, JH Head Track, and JH Assist. Track; Fall: HS Head Girls Soccer; Winter: HS Head Girls Basketball and HS Assist. Girls Basketball.
Preference will be given to applicants with a valid Washington State teaching certificate and relevant endorsement, who can also teach at the anticipated vacancies. The successful candidate will have prior coaching experience, meet the WIAA coaching certification standards, and hold a valid First Aid/CPR card.

The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing fundamental skills and rules understanding in participants, promoting cooperation, sportsmanship, and ethical behavior.
- Designing and implementing effective coaching strategies, organizing practice sessions, and attending regular season and post-season games.
- Maintaining participant safety, using up-to-date training methods, and taking necessary precautions during practices and games.
- Ensuring eligibility requirements are met, monitoring participant behavior, and applying discipline in a positive manner.
- Managing equipment and supplies, maintaining facilities, and completing annual inventory and accident reports.
- Collaborating with the Athletic Director and building administrator on issues as needed.
