Job Description:
Ocuco is offering an exciting opportunity for a Product Owner to join one of our Software Development teams in our EMRLogic office in Vancouver. Passion for customer experience, product development and excellent communication skills are required as the successful candidate will liaise with customers, developers, designers, and Project Managers. The focus is to deliver a quality product; therefore the individual must be meticulous and thorough, be well organised and have outstanding documentation skills.

Responsibilities:
- To visit Customer sites and work with Customers and market experts to further develop and deliver top-quality solutions to our customers worldwide
- Coordinate solution development with Product Managers & Directors considering regional requirements
- To take ownership of these requirements and elaborate upon user stories to convey to the Scrum Team
- To own and prioritise the team’s product backlog
- Work with the Project Managers, Scrum Masters, Scrum Teams, and our Professional Services Team to deliver projects of high quality with a smooth transition from development to live
- Collaborate with Ocuco’s Global Product Management team to align global requirements
- Be available to the Scrum Team and attend the Scrum ceremonies
- Perform pre-sales requirements analysis with customers worldwide interested in purchasing our software. Attend customer site workshops and document the development requirements
- Hand over and train our PSD team and customers in the new functionality developed by the team. Go on-site where necessary, particularly at the early stages of the delivery of new features
- To be the critical liaison between the Customer and Development team
- Documentation of features
The successful candidate must have:
- A degree in Computer Science or a similar qualification
- 2 years of experience as a Product Owner in SCRUM with a focus on software delivery
- 2 years of Agile business analysis experience delivering successful products
- Evidence of previous management in innovation in the software space
- Excellent business and technical analytical skills are essential, with the ability to manage ambiguity and navigate to clear outcomes
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-location, multi-cultural and multi-time zone team
- Fluency in verbal and written English. An additional language would be an asset;
- Effective escalation skills; Ability to go up and down the management chain with ease to resolve a conflict
