Job Purpose
Ocugen is offering a 12-week, full-time summer internship (onsite, 40 hours per week) within our Research and Development department. Duties and responsibilities
Organize and Maintain Documentation:
- Assist in organizing and cataloging laboratory records, experimental data, and research notes.
- Ensure that all documents are stored properly, both digitally and physically, for easy retrieval.
Review Results for Transcription Errors:
- Carefully review experimental results and data entries for accuracy and consistency.
- Identify and correct transcription errors, ensuring high-quality data reporting.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies in documentation.
Prepare Laboratory Reagents and Help with Cell Culture :
- Assist in the preparation of chemicals, reagents, and other materials required for laboratory experiments.
- Follow standard safety procedures while handling chemicals and laboratory equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of reagent preparation and inventory.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or computer science, or any other related field.
- Strong interest in Biotech and Pharma
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Working conditions
The incumbent is expected to work on-site at the Malvern, Pennsylvania office, Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Remote work will be limited.
Job may additionally require incumbent to be available outside of these hours to handle priority business needs.
Physical requirements
This is a largely sedentary role.
