Title: Construction Manager

Location: Sebring, Florida Area

Summary: Commence is looking for an enthusiastic professional to play a pivotal role in building quality homes in the Sebring, Florida area. This role requires a team player with excellent communication skills and a focus on quality.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and manage the oversight of quality-built homes from start through Certificate of Occupancy on a timely and economical basis.
• Direct and monitor the progress of multiple homes in various stages of construction concurrently.
• Schedule subcontractors and manage the quality of construction, productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.
• Manage trade and vendor relationships in order to build homes on schedule.
• Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites.
• Coordinate delivery and use of materials throughout the construction process.
• Complete homes and all customer walk-through items prior to turnover.
• Track and control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns.
• Implement knowledge of construction methods, regulations, contracts and blueprint reading.

Experience:

• Prior experience with residential home building in the Southwest Florida market is required.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management or related degrees preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency required to communicate and schedule with vendors and trades.
• Knowledge of construction practices and terminology as well as the ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents are preferred.
