What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations and Maintenance Manager, Marsh Run position at ODEC?
Purpose of Job :
Energetic and effective leader to serve as our Operations and Maintenance Manager at the Marsh Run Generation Facility in Remington, Virginia. Supervises, coordinates and assists the activities of plant facility team engaged in the maintenance, repair, and operations of mechanical equipment such as industrial gas turbines, generators, air compressors, motors and pumps to provide the cooperative with electrical power.
Essential responsibilities include :
- Directs and assists workers in electrical, mechanical, and electronic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Recommends and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Serve as focal point and coordinator for all NERC compliance issues.
- Implements and maintains environmental control measures as directed by Federal, State, and Local authorities.
- Supervises all preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure that it is completed in accordance with technical manual procedures.
- Supervise and ensure that all activities on the plant site are in accordance with company safety rules and guidelines. Provides support and positive reinforcement to safety committee as needed.
- Effectively lead 8-9 direct reports
Work Experience :

Education :
High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
Travel details : Occasional overnight travel required in this position
