GENERAL SUMMARY:
Odessa College has part time positions available for Sports Center Summer Camp Instructor. As a Sports Center Camp Instructor, you will lead camps for elementary and secondary school age children under the direction of the Community Recreation Director.
SPECIFIC POSITION DUTIES:
- Responsible for coordinating camp lessons/itineraries with the Community Recreation Director
- Instruct designated camp(s)
- Ensure camp participants are supervised and safe during entirety of the camp
- Engage with the camp activities
- Learn and apply lessons/skills taught during the camp
MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS:
Camp Instructors must have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Be responsible and punctual, as well as able to be courteous, and professional at all times with participants and their parents/guardians
- Have experience in their area of expertise before beginning leading their designated camp
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualifications are preferred but not necessarily required:
- Previous experience in supervising elementary and secondary school age children; and previous experience in running camp program.
