COST ACCOUNTANT
Summary of Functions
The Cost Accountant will perform advanced cost accounting analyses to compare estimated costs to actual costs and prepare a variety of related budget reports, while reporting accurate revenue recognition.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Gathers and compiles all related cost information.
· Generates monthly invoices and track cash receipts.
· Generates and tracks the production on project activities.
· Predicts, plans, and records accurate revenue recognition.
· Maintains and generates project related purchase orders and subcontracts.
· Predicts, plans, and records variable costs.
· Reviews daily timecards for coding inaccuracies.
· Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
· Reviews, analyzes, and reports actual profit margins.
· Performs project close out of documentation and lien releases.
· Performs month-end and year-end closings with assistance.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent numeracy skills along with a logical and analytical mind
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, HCSS products, and accounting software (Vista or Spectrum).
· Thorough understanding of accounting procedures.
· Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
· Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
· Ability to manage confidential information.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Business Administration required.
· At least two years of experience in cost accounting preferred.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
