Duties and Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Vice President, the Manager – Project Execution is responsible for ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, of high quality and in compliance with contractual requirements by developing, updating and implementing standard company processes and procedures and working in collaboration with the project management and leadership teams. Projects range for engineering studies to multi-year lump sum, turnkey engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects. The Manager – Project Execution will also provide project management on complex projects and be responsible for supporting business development efforts.
Basic/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, technical or business-related discipline.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of diversified project experience in the natural gas, utility or energy industry with at least five (5) of the most recent years being in project management.
Desired Qualifications
- PMP certification or P.E. license.
- Master’s degree in project management or business-related discipline.
- Proven experience with successfully executing construction and/or EPC projects in the natural gas, utility or energy industry.

- Must have demonstrated excellent human relations, influencing, communications and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of customers and internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize work in a timely manner and be detailed orientated.
- Capable of multi-tasking numerous projects at once and working within deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate and promptly identify potential problems and take corrective action before they become crisis by using analytical skills to reach a logical conclusion.

Essential Job Functions
The Manager – Project Execution is responsible for the following:
Project Execution
- Leading the strategic direction and operational aspects of the project management team while collaboratively working with other leadership team members.
- Responsible for the project execution process, while developing strategies, procedures and processes that meet our customers’ needs, achieving high standards of safety, health, environmental, regulatory and quality compliance.
- Overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle from business development through construction and close out, including but not limited to permitting, engineering, and procurement of material and resources.
- Monitoring and ensuring project goals, including scope, budget, and schedule, safety and quality aspects are all met.
- Executing a risk-based management approach to project execution which includes identifying project risk, forecasting project risk and appropriately mitigating project risk.
- Ensuring that projects are adequately staffed with internal and external resources.
- Developing teaming arrangements with strategic construction and service partners.
- Reporting on the performance of projects to the leadership team.
- Leading complex projects as the project manager.
Business Development
- Plays a key role in the development of new business by maintaining strong customer relationships and a superior level of customer service, and coordinates with the leadership team to identify potential future projects.
- Managing the preparation of proposals and work products required to develop new business including attending virtual or in-person pre-bid meetings.
Work/Job Site Conditions
This position may require the exertion of up to 20 pounds of force on occasion, and up to 10 pounds of force on a more frequent basis. The work may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, grasping and other repetitive motions. The employee will be subject to predominantly inside environments but may also be required to work outside in hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
Environmental Exposures
The employee may be exposed to airborne pathogens beyond the control of the employer and may be required to follow guidance related to workplace sanitation and wear specialized personal protective equipment, including but not limited to face masks, respirators, and gloves, as well as use of hand sanitizers.
Travel
This is a full-time position normally performed in a professional office work environment that will require frequent visits to construction sites or operating utility facilities, as the job requires. Travel will be required within the continental U.S., potentially up to 10% of the time. A valid driver’s license must be maintained.
Remote Work
Hybrid office/home or flexible daily hours work arrangements are available.
Salary : $125,000 - $165,000
