Project Kompass provides a broad range of programs including safe and secure housing to young adults and new moms and their babies experiencing homelessness. We work directly with each resident to create an individualized service plan which focuses on life skill training, education advancement, and savings to help reach the goal of independent living. We also provide farm-based therapy, nontraditional scholarships and community outreach.
The Office Manager will be a key part of a team that will collaborate with the staff and volunteers in support of the daily activities that make the achievement of independent living possible.
We are flexible in our needs and can accommodate part-time or full-time hours, however if part-time our ideal candidate must commit to at least twenty-four (24) hours per week.
Position Summary:
The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations in our three locations to ensure the smooth functioning of administrative processes and drive efficiencies. This key role is designed for an individual who thrives in an exciting and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily administrative matters, including accounting/cost information, donor correspondence, contracts and other general office duties.
· Support senior leadership with ad-hoc tasks, scheduling, coordinating company events.
· Facilitate communication between locations and staff, ensuring seamless information flow.
· Coordinate donor outreach efforts and correspondence to capture the attention of prospective and existing donors.
Financial Oversight:
· Ensure the completion of weekly and monthly financial reports accurately and on time.
· Receive invoices, review for accuracy, and submit for approval.
· Bank reconciliation and data entry using QuickBooks.
Marketing and Social Media:
· Manage communications including phone calls and requests for information/data.
· Prepare correspondence, mass mailings, email blast, and social media posts.
Qualification/Skills:
Ø 5 years’ experience in office management, administration, or a similar role.
Ø Strong organization and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
Ø Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ø Familiarity with remote work tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.)
Ø Proficiency in office management software and accounting tools including Microsoft Office Suite, Quick Books, and project management tools.
Ø Ability to effectively contribute to a professional environment and work with the highest regard for confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries.
Ø Nonprofit experience is a plus
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
