Our growing and thriving Optometry office is looking for a full-time Front Desk Check-In Clerk to present a great first impression of our practice for patients and guests. This important team member sets the tone in the interactions a patient has with our practice, via telephone, text, email or front desk reception. Our Front Desk Check-In Clerk is responsible for warmly welcoming all new and existing patients according to our commitment to excellent customer service, patient education, and superior optometric products. The Front Desk Check-In Clerk manages the patient flow through the practice, including check-in and maintaining a fully confirmed appointment schedule.

- Verify the patient’s insurance
- Data entry
- Answer phones
- Reconcile and prepare weekly reporting
- Scan and file paperwork
- Scheduling Appointments
- Rescheduling no-show appointments
- Confirming appointments
- Filing vision claims
Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- General knowledge of computers
- Must be a self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision
- Experience in the front office
Working conditions:
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Monday through Friday workdays
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
