How You Will Make a Difference
The role of Admissions Specialist is to receive all phone calls to the 888 hotline, Represent STR Behavioral Health and our services to clients, families, referral sources and community resources, Complete pre-admission paperwork and supervise logistical and financial requirements. Also, responsible for communicating client information to proper departments, assist in the admissions process as needed and describe insurance and financial requirements to families and clients
Position Responsibilities
- Verifying insurance benefits for prospective STR Behavioral Health clients
- Conducting and completing pre-assessments for STR Behavioral Health Clients
- Receiving and managing phone calls and inquiries from prospective clients, families, and referrals
- Fulfill afterhours schedule by answering and managing phone calls outside regular business hours and days
- Conduct follow up phone calls with clients, families, and referral sources
- Maintaining professional relationships with entities outside of STR Behavioral Health
- Planning and implementing Aftercare for STR Behavioral Health clients
Qualifications
What We're Seeking
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required, but bachelors degree preferred
- Minimum of two years experience in the Human Services or Customer Services field, Behavioral Health experience preferred
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Advanced computer system and Internet knowledge required
- Working knowledge of insurance Carriers
- Prefer experience in phone sales
