Position Profile
The Nighttime Supervisor role is to integrate STR Cedar Creek Second Shift with Clinical Programming, Medical, Admissions, and Management. This position requires you to engage and connect with clients in services at STR Cedar Creek. The night time supervisors responsibilities is to provide support for after hour phone calls with family and significant others, Behavioral Health Technicians and Nursing on Second Shift. This position also is responsible for ensuring Second Shift programming and flow are representative of STR Cedar Creeks’ standard. Job duties also include Implementing, executing and supervising nighttime and evening programming. The position also supports intakes and discharges during the evening hours as clients admit and discharge to the STR Cedar Creek all while ensuring the safety and respect for clients and staff.
Position Responsibilities
- Train all Second Behavioral Health Technicians
- Assist in hiring process of new Behavioral Health Technicians
- Schedule and manage monthly Behavioral Health Technicians schedule
- Directly supervise all second shift Behavioral Health Technicians
- Provide one on one supervision with all Second Shift Behavioral Health Technicians
- Complete or supervise the completion of client satisfaction surveys, if they discharge during evening hours
- Develop and cultivate meaningful relationships with clients
- Work 40 hours a week including one on-call week. Work schedule of Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – 1pm-11pm (10-hour shifts). Flexibility based on program need.
- Plan, implement, supervise, and support the execution of evening program schedule to coordinate, elective, med management, individual sessions, and care management needs.
- Ensure that nightly programming is dynamic and meets community and STR Cedar Creek needs
- Supervise appropriate EMR note taking and documentation for all second shift programs
- Ensure Electronic Medical Record client bed board is updated and accurate
- Supervise, coordinate, and implement intakes during traditional and non-traditional hours and days
- Schedule and execute all second and third shift transportation for new clients when needed
- Implement, ensure, and supervise all evening admits are appropriately oriented to the program
- Collaborate with treatment team and meet with clients that may need changes in their treatment plan around challenging behavior or treatment engagement.
- Schedule and implement client recreational activities, phone schedule, meeting schedule, etc.
- Complete daily shift reports
- Attend and engage in Clinical Team meetings to discuss client engagement in services and clinical impressions
- Implement and supervise APA Protocol
- Monitor and fill facility supplies/submit request for supplies to Program Manager
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school Diploma, Bachelors preferred
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the Human Service Field
- 1-year minimum of supervision experience
- Valid Drivers License and personal vehicle use
- Working Knowledge of Healthcare Systems
- Knowledge and experience with basic Microsoft software packages.
- Familiarity with EMR systems
- Able to physically lift up to 15 pounds
Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and arms to reach, handle, and feel.
- The employee may occasionally need to stand, walk, stoop or kneel.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
