Since 2000, Clearview Treatment Programs has offered individualized evidence-based treatment for adults suffering from mental health disorders, including borderline personality disorder (BPD), and substance use disorders, with an emphasis in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Our southern California facilities an environment that’s ideal for healing and transformation. We offer a specialized full continuum of care with residential centers and outpatient treatment options, allowing clients to enter at the level of treatment that is best for long-lasting recovery.

Compensation Range:

$25.00 - $30.25 per hour (depending on level and location)

How You Will Contribute:

The Chef prepares healthy meals for clients in a specialized residential treatment program setting.  The chef is responsible for preparing, following the daily menu, and modifying menu options as needed to accommodate allergies and dietary needs. Will utilize the USDA Dietary Handbook in planning and preparation.

Within the organization:   Initiates and maintains strong professional relationships with peers, immediate supervisor, and leadership throughout the organization.

Outside the organization: Initiated professional relationships with vendors, as needed.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepares and presents breakfast, lunch, and dinner for clients in care.
• Create and distribute menus, as needed, in collaboration with week-day Chef.
• Utilizes only proper sanitation methods in the preparation and serving of food.
• Avoids food waste whenever possible.
• Ensures proper storage temperatures are always maintained.
• Creates meal substitution options as necessary to accommodate dietary needs and allergies.
• Follows cleaning schedule and safety protocols, as posted.
• Ensures inventory is well stocked and equipment is in good working order.
• Provides, structures, and maintains a therapeutic environment in collaboration with other staff.
• Documents observations in nursing assessment and weekly notes in electronic charting system, Best Notes, in accordance with facility policy in a timely manner. Documentation reflects plan of care outlined in the Master Treatment Plan.
• Documentation reflects ongoing assessment of resident behaviors and feelings as expressed and are addressed appropriately within the program or with referral.
• Can be relied upon to be at work as scheduled and is rarely absent from work, notifying the supervisor if absent.
• Demonstrates an ability to adapt to changes in the facility function, management styles, and facility routines.

Qualifications

What We Are Seeking:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education experience; trade or vocational school training preferred. One (1) or more years of previous experience in a culinary setting is preferred. Must have Safe Serve certification, or obtain it upon hire.

Other Requirements

• A valid Driver's license and a generally clean driving record are required. Employees may be required to drive personal or company vehicles. State licensing DHS and DSS prohibit individuals with specific criminal charges, such as pending Livescan fingerprint checks. Exemptions offered. The following screenings will be conducted after the conditional offer: Drug screening, Criminal history background check, Live scan fingerprint check, Motor vehicle report, TB Test, Pre - Hire Physical, Education and work history verification.

For cash compensation, we set standard ranges for all U.S based roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against companies of similar size within the behavioral healthcare industry.  In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
