Job Location: Salt Lake City Area
Opportunities are available at the following programs - Men and Women's Mental Health, Parents Program, and our Adolescents Program.
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: Approximately 25 hours a week, with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts as needed NTE 40 hours a week.
Available shifts are listed below:
Weekday Shifts (Monday - Friday)
5:30 am - 10 am (additional $1/hr differential for early AM shifts)
4:30 pm - 11 pm
Weekend & Holiday Shifts
6:30 am - 1 pm
4:30 pm - 11 pm

Job Description:
- Learn policies and procedures to maintain client, staff, and facility safety, as that is our number one concern
- Distribution of medication to clients during scheduled med pass times
- The ability to maintain clear boundaries with clients is a must.
- Monitor for medication diversion.
- Obtain and Documenting Vitals
- Learn how to place and read PPD tests for TB
- Checking in medication deliveries.
- Med Room organization
- Document medication administration with accurate recording in our eMAR system.
- Medication Destruction when necessary
- Narcotic counts
- Communicate with full-time Medical Staff or Medical staff on-call as necessary.
- Report accurate Incident Reports concerning accidents, medical situations, medication errors, or facility safety risk hazards.
- Maintain clean office space
- Attend staff meetings and training.
- Willingness to help out whenever possible while maintaining a great home-work-life balance.
Core Responsibilities: We will teach you how to help maintain the med room, use our eMAR system, accurately document medication administration, communicate with our residential medical team, maintain healthy boundaries, and maintain client safety. You will coordinate care with nursing staff and be a direct line of support to our clients. Other responsibilities include attending staff meetings and educational events, checking in medication deliveries, and picking up urgent medications from outside pharmacies when needed.
Day in the Life: You will work in the med room and perform medication passes accurately and safely. Our number one priority is the safety of our clients and avoiding medication errors. You will need to maintain clear boundaries with clients to ensure med pass is performed safely & according to policy while supporting client success in treatment by monitoring for and preventing medication diversion. You will be the line of communication with our nursing staff when clients have medical issues and will need to obtain vital signs and other information at the direction of nursing staff to coordinate the appropriate care.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to pass a background check before you start work
- Some level of medical experience preferred
- Some level of mental health experience preferred
- The dress code is casual or scrubs with closed-toed shoes

- Must be willing to distribute medications to clients
- Must be eligible to work in the USA
- Receive flu shot, TB test, and COVID-19 vaccine (spiritual and medical waivers available)
- One year of sobriety if in recovery
