We re hiring a Jira Administrator to lead the configuration and upkeep of our Atlassian suite primarily Jira Software, Jira Service Management, and Confluence. This role partners with technical and non-technical stakeholders to improve workflows, streamline project management, and support collaboration across teams. Oversee configuration and maintenance for Jira and Confluence environments.
Manage access, permissions, user roles, workflows, issue types, and project settings.
Design and roll out custom workflows, schemes, fields, and plugins as needed.
Develop reusable project templates and automation rules to standardize processes.
Process Improvement
Collaborate with product owners, scrum masters, and PMs to align Jira workflows with team needs.
Identify inefficiencies in current setups and propose solutions.
Use Atlassian Automation and native tools to drive consistency and reduce manual work.
Support & Enablement
Serve as the go-to support for Jira/Confluence-related issues and escalations.
Lead internal training sessions and create clear documentation to promote user adoption.
Coordinate with Atlassian support and manage tool upgrades, outages, and patch schedules.
Integrations & Reporting
Connect Jira/Confluence to other key systems (e.g., Slack, Git, Bitbucket, Teams, PPM).
Build custom dashboards, filters, and reporting views to support real-time visibility.
Support custom API integrations and develop webhooks where applicable.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related experience.
3 years of hands-on experience administering Jira and Confluence (including Jira Service Management).
Solid grasp of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban concepts.
Strong command of JQL and experience building Jira automation rules.
Familiarity with tools like ScriptRunner, Tempo, and BigPicture.
Experience with directory services and SSO setup (LDAP, AD).
Basic scripting ability (Groovy, REST APIs, or equivalent) is a bonus.
Atlassian certifications (ACP-610, ACP-620) are a plus.
Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Strong communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Highly organized and self-directed can manage competing tasks independently.
Collaborative, solution-oriented, and adaptable to evolving business needs.
Prior work on cloud-to-cloud or cloud-to-server migrations.
Familiarity with DevOps ecosystems (Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab).
Exposure to ITSM methodologies such as ITIL.
