We are seeking an experienced Bar & Front of House Manager to oversee daily operations of our restaurant and bar during our peak summer season. This role is perfect for a hospitality professional who thrives in a dynamic, high-end adventure lodge environment. You will lead our front-of-house team, ensuring an exceptional dining and bar experience that complements the breathtaking setting of Odyssey Lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all front-of-house operations, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction
- Manage and train front-of-house staff, including servers and bartenders
- Create an engaging, welcoming atmosphere that aligns with Odyssey Lodge’s brand and luxury experience
- Develop and maintain seasonal cocktail menus, oversee bar inventory, and ensure high standards in mixology and beverage service
- Work closely with the culinary team to ensure smooth food and beverage service
- Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and special event coordination
- Monitor service quality, manage guest feedback, and resolve any service issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with Alaska liquor laws, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all dining and bar areas
- Assist with payroll, scheduling, and inventory management
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in bar or restaurant management (luxury hospitality or lodge experience preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of craft cocktails, wine, and beer selection
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-end service environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a remote setting with a small, close-knit team
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
- Alaska Alcohol Server Certification (or ability to obtain before employment)
Schedule: This position oversees operations during the restaurant's seasonal schedule, open from May to September.
