About The Job

Th e position of Dispatcher will have primary responsibility to s chedules delivery of LTL/full load trailer spots to various customer locations within the local area and coordinates freight movement between terminals with line haul drivers and operations at the other hubs.

In This Role, You Will

• Coordinate delivery schedules with local customers.
• C oordinate freight movement for line haul operations.
• Management of work schedules for drivers.
• Assist as needed in the customer service department.
• Setup of delivery documents for each delivery. 
• Coordination of equipment for maintenance and repair with the maintenance department.
• Maintain a professional working relationship with customers and co-workers.
• Strictly observes work schedules and specific delivery requirements.
• All other duties and projects as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications And Key Skills

• Minimum of (1) year experience dispatching of LTL and full loads.
• Transportation or logistics industry experience is highly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and colleagues.
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff.
• Employee must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited information exists.
• Ability to think logically with respect to customer inquiries with little notice.
• Must have the ability to analyze customer’s needs and troubleshoot.
  
  

Location: This is an in-office role based in Fullerton, CA

Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm (onsite)

As required by applicable Pay Transparency laws, Odyssey provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements. Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location, or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets.

The base pay range for this position is: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour.
