High volume Personal Injury and Criminal Defense law firm located in Downtown Knoxville searching for a full-time legal assistant.
The successful candidate will work closely with well-trained staff and have the flexibility to work with other team members and attorneys and to fill other administrative roles as necessary for smooth functioning of the office.
All interactions with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and the general public must reflect and must exhibit professionalism.
OEB Law is looking for a Legal Assistant that:
• Will support the assigned personal injury attorney
• Will set up claims and do the preliminary case setup
• Is very proficient in typing and paying attention to detail
• Will assist in obtaining, maintaining & summarizing all client data
• Will handle correspondences, pleadings, discovery and responses
• Will handle travel arrangements and incoming clients
• Will schedule meetings, depositions, mediations, & court reporting
• Will maintain files
• Will coordinate attorney's schedule and calendar
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree or Relevant Work Experience
- Punctuality, initiative, and ability to work unsupervised
- Highly self-motivated, self-starter
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge and use of proper grammar and punctuation
- Ability to adapt form documents to case-specific facts
- Excellent computer skills & typing skills
- Able to work with one of the firms highest producing attorney's and their team
- Professional presentation & attitude
- Able to work with little direction and pays close attention to detail & dependable with strong work ethic is a must
Job Type: Full-time
Hourly Wage: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
