What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temporary Logistics Coordinator position at OEC Group?
What we’re looking for…
- Entry level and experienced candidates in the logistics/ supply chain industry.
- Strong customer service, attention to detail and follow up skills.
- Knowledge of ocean imports shipments or domestic trucking is a big plus.
About the Position
- Track, trace, and update container shipments while developing and maintaining good relationships with carriers, truckers, customers, and warehouses, etc.
- Coordinate with Account Executives to generate new leads/quotations.
- Issue quotes on international trade lanes for existing and potential clients.
- Create internal customer profiles in CargoWise to provide all departments with detailed customer information.
- Send new shipment bookings to customers.
- Validate and confirm all ocean/air shipment bookings from origin to destination, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Schedule truckers to pick up or deliver ocean containers to customer in a timely manner.
- Communicate with vendors for payment disputes and service requirements.
- Work with internal office (including internal department, branch offices, and oversea offices) for container delivery status.
- Handle issues such as rescheduling of delivery status, terminal congestions, receiving and resoling warehouse unloading issues.
Work Schedule
- 3-month temporary position
- 32 hours per week
- Seattle Office Hours 8:00 am – 5:00 pm PST (Monday-Friday)
Salary
$19 per hour
Education & Experience
- Associate’s degree and 1 years of related experience.
- Experience in the logistics, supply chain and/or shipping field is a plus.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
