Overview
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of effective Human Resources policies and systems that create an environment in which all employees can be productive and meet the strategic goals of OEM America and its clients. OEM’s HR manager provides comprehensive HR support and partnership to a customer group consisting of a wide array of industries and company sizes. This individual will consult with managers on employee relations and a wide range of compliance issues; in addition to recommending and assisting in developing/interpreting HR policies. The HR manager applies various performance, corrective action, and termination actions as needed both internally and externally. This individual will serve as a subject matter expert for broad array of internal and external HR challenges. The HR manager will also work closely with and guide the other members of OEM’s HR team to help manage all tactical and strategic HR functions for OEM’s clients.
Responsibilities
-Recommends courses of action adhering to HR policies in compliance with all Federal, State and local laws and regulations.
-Assists in designing and implementing HR policies/guidelines and programs and communicates changes to managers. Provides policy interpretation and conflict resolutions with relevant employment laws.
-Coaches managers in talent management processes, including goal setting, organizational structure, teamwork effectiveness, addressing performance issues, managing and communicating expectations to supervision as well as employees.
-Investigates associate complaints regarding HR policies and practices and allegations violating policies. Recommends appropriate courses of action to management.
-Assist in the development and delivery of training programs.
-Partners with management and identifies/recommends cost-effective solutions to staffing needs.
-Uses a financial case (client’s financial gain/return on investment) as reasons to implement HR policy and procedure changes.
-Promotes a positive associate relations work environment in partnership with client managers and ensures open and timely supervisor/associate communications and interventions.
-Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills and Experience
Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree required
-2 years of Supervisory experience
-3-5 years’ diverse experience at the HR professional level covering a broad range of HR disciplines
