What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Buyer position at OEM/Miller, Division of ILPEA Industries?
Compiles information from physical counts and system records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of materials, goods and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Cycle count warehouse to determine if materials on hand are in sufficient quantity.
Prepares purchase requisition and purchase orders, communicates to supplier.
Verify nomenclature and specifications of purchase requests.
Prepares / verify purchasing records (index report) monthly, price, quantity.
Confers with suppliers on expedite situations or concerns about late deliveries.
Place orders with approved suppliers.
Work with Accounts Payable on pricing discrepancies.
Perform related duties as required by manager.
Communicate with manager, supervisors, co-workers and others, maintains confidentiality; represents the Company.
Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of BPCS a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
