Business Development Leader (Commercial Office Interiors) - Position Overview
This Business Development Leader (BDL) plays a crucial role in achieving revenue growth and additional customer acquisitions through identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. The BDL will focus on promoting all product and labor service offerings of the Office Furniture Center and MAC Relocations business units. Qualified leads will be turned over to the applicable sales representative within the OFC and MAC organization to be worked through the established sales process.
Success in this position is found by actively seeking business opportunities through research, cold calling, participating in lead referral groups, belonging to industry trade associations, attending events, meeting directly with prospective end users, end user reps or surrogates, and other influencers. The BDL works closely with sales, marketing, Wurwel corporate research, and executive management to develop strategies, execution plans and related collateral to introduce and position OFC and MAC to participate in new and follow-on procurements. The ability to nurture and expand business relationships is key to long-term repeat success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Research target demographics, economic trends, customer needs and interests and other data that can be used in creating strategies for business development
- Oversee efforts to expand lead generation through cold calling, business-to-business selling and other methods to identify potential business prospects
- Build relationships with new and existing customers and industry partners through consistent follow-up, reliable communication, frequent updates on product developments and in-person meetings for new opportunities and referrals
- Present sales pitches, and other relevant data to potential prospects in a way that promotes the companies brands and helps the audience identify the value of our offerings
- Diligently update the NetSuite CRM system to capture all business opportunity data including customer, contacts, and data specific to the opportunity
- Scheduling meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and OFC furniture specialists and MAC relocation consultants to help close new business.

Base salary plus earnable commission based on performance.
