Clean all areas of a 110-bed adult Psychiatric Hospital. Clean patient bedrooms and bathrooms, exam rooms, eating areas, recreational areas, common areas, hallways, employee offices and work areas. Cleans furniture and equipment. Sweep, mop, strip, wax, and buff hard floors. Sweep and shampoo carpets. Follows Infection Control procedures to sanitize areas. Cleans windows and mirrors. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a tobacco free facility. Chosen applicants must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in Agency and Bureau policies. Candidate must successfully pass background screenings. Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides quality patient care and a safe environment for its patients, who are often committed to the hospital through civil commitment or, in the case of forensic patients, ordered through the judicial system. As a training site for future health care professionals, Mildred Mitchell-Bateman Hospital provides on-site learning experiences for educating physicians, nurses, practical nurses, psychologists, counselors, health care administrators, technicians, and supportive services personnel. The hospital holds accreditation by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is certified by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Through ongoing collaboration with Marshall University’s Department of Behavioral Medicine & Psychiatry, a variety of medical and clinical professionals partner with the hospital’s own staff to work diligently with patients to achieve a smooth transition back to the community after discharge.
