Under the direct supervision of the Employee Experience Services (EES) Director, the Employee Experience Services Training Coordinator will coordinate and facilitate personnel training and staff development programs for department employees, as well as analyze training needs for employees, supervisors, and managers. Key duties include conducting organization-wide training assessments, managing training software, coordinating in-house and outsourced training initiatives, and maintaining thorough training records. Additionally, this role requires oversight of training deadlines, employee notifications, and reporting.

Physical Demands And Environmental Exposure:
Most assignments will be performed in an office, meeting, or operations command center environment, but some field work may be required. May be required to work extended work hours during activation of disaster recovery operations for an unspecified length of time (varies based on the extent of the event).
This position requires bending, stooping, and lifting to 25 lbs., frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, and ascending/descending stairs.

JOB DUTIES:
- Establishes and strengthens business relationships with department managers to thoroughly understand their operational needs, facilitating and coordinating appropriate training that enhances team performance through knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Conducts organization-wide training assessments to identify skills that require improvement and development.
- Coordinates training sessions and lunch-and-learns for the Department.
- Serves as Administrator for Training Software, providing both mandatory and non-mandatory training.
- Coordinates and administers contracts, service agreements, etc., with outside agencies and vendors to whom the department has outsourced education and training activities.
- Maintains a record of training programs attended by department employees to ensure employees receive and or are up-to-date on the training required for their certificates and licenses.
- Keeps a comprehensive record of all mandatory training sessions for new hires.
- Generates and provides detailed training reports upon request from management or the department.
- Notifies employees of upcoming training requirements and deadlines, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Serves as a liaison between Divisions & Administrative Services to request and submit travel & training.
- Maintains a log of approved training items from the Commissioners Court.

Requirements
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of two years of experience in Human Resources
- Must have at least 3 years of professional HR experience in employee recruitment, training, and/or related Human Resources discipline
- Excellent program skills, written communication and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills
- Proven Human Resources experience, preferably experience working in a global, multi-office organization. Experience in the technology/construction/engineering sector is a plus
- Intermediate skill level in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrated cross-functional leadership
- Experience influencing, communicating, and presenting at all levels of the organization
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate projects, ensuring deadlines are met
- Ability to adapt to changes in work tasks and manage competing demands; change approach or method to best fit the situation; and handle frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events
- Perform all functions of the job classification and other duties as assigned
Preferences
EDUCATION:
- PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
- 5 years of prior Human Resource or Training Coordination
- Proven work experience as a Recruiter or Training in the engineering consulting firm environment or government sector
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cooperative, and team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
