Description

The Configuration and Reports Specialist is responsible for executing technical and configuration requirements necessary for the successful deployment of Office Practicum in either a hosted or self-hosted environment, as well as the design, creation and maintenance of SQL and School/Camp and state-regulated forms, reports and extractions. The Configuration and Reports Specialist will collaborate with the assigned Implementation Project Manager (IPM) for the completion of all relevant duties as set forth in the project timeline, as well as collaboration with clients to develop and decipher report requirements and collaborate with the Development, Training, and Customer Support departments to identify issues and solutions. This is a client-facing role, therefore, communication skills are imperative.


Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities

  • Installation of Office Practicum software on client workstations and devices, the configuration of peripherals, and verification (in collaboration with the client’s IT professional) that all technical services are functional prior to go-live.
  • Installation and configuration of clearinghouse services, e-prescribing services, EPCS, PDMP, Phreesia, OP Mobile, Direct Messaging, InteliChart services, CHADIS, developed reports and forms, Dashboards, and other services as required (using developed processes and protocols).
  • Database configuration for PM/Billing to include providers and staff, insurance plans, appointment reason codes, locations, staff/provider directory, and any other setup as required by the project timeline.
  • Bootstrapping Data across our internal infrastructure
  • Database setup and testing of all clearinghouse functions including eCorrespondent and transfer agent setup for eligibility, claims, remittances, and acknowledgment files.
  • Facilitate the management of client expectations during the implementation process including discussions with IPM regarding potential delays in the implementation as a result of missed or incomplete tasks.
  • In collaboration with IPM and Training team members, provide implementation and go-live support.
  • Update customer case details (Salesforce) and OnRamp (Project Management Tool) to record work performed.
  • Independently manage multiple priorities (i.e. customer sessions, follow-up questions, internal/external support, etc.) while maintaining a high level of service and customer-centric focus.
  • Escalate problems to the appropriate teams to promptly and effectively address issues.
  • Work according to the timeline and expectation designated by the client and effectively address delays or complications.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by the Implementation Supervisor, Manager, and/or Director.
  • Given a set of customer requirements (and scanned image where applicable), identify where the data elements are located in OP and develop a complex set of queries to map them into the appropriate reporting fields.
  • Ability to further refine reports based on initial customer feedback.
  • Complete fluency with the reports available within OP and the OP Reports application.
  • Develop detailed specifications of work to be performed for budgeting and client approval.
  • Provide Level 3 support to OP’s customer service teams and answer questions in the Slack Channel.
  • Work with OP leadership to recommend and implement improvements to the custom report development process.
  • Document and update work performed in Salesforce to keep OP staff apprised of conversion progress.
  • Update customer relationship management system (Salesforce) and time tracking system (Toggl) to record work performed when required.

  • Basic application troubleshooting concepts and techniques.
  • Basic Healthcare data exchange standards standards
  • Basic ETL concepts and techniques.
  • Must be able to qualify as an Organization Representative for Direct Messaging and EPCS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external project stakeholders with varying levels of exposure to EHR software application implementation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Education / Professional Certifications Or Licenses Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school or university
  • Relevant experience may be substituted for a year for year basis


Experience Requirements

  • 2 years prior experience in healthcare IT administration or related discipline.
  • 2 years prior experience in database management or SQL reporting.
  • Experience with Report Builder development engine
  • Crystal Reports and SSRS exposure helpful.
  • Ability to develop complex SQL queries required.
  • Preferred:
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • EHR or other healthcare technology experience
  • Ambulatory medical office management, including billing.

  • None.

  • Computer and telephone required to perform duties.
  • Lifting requirements of no more than five pounds.
