Director Warehouse Services - Multi Site USA - In and around East Hanover is preferable

The Director of Warehouse Services will be responsible for the AJWW & 3PLs warehousing and logistical functions of the business. Driving initiatives to optimize efficiency in the warehousing and distribution functions of the company. This role would report directly to the Executive leadership of the company and would have full control and responsibility for these functions with the goal of managing to ensure complete customer satisfaction and maintain company profitability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·   Lead national 3PL selecting reviews & due diligence tours. 

·   Proficiency in warehouse/logistics software WMS review & development for AJWW

·   Warehouse mapping, optimization and best practices are in place

·   Own 3PL warehouse agreements

·   Strong knowledge of warehousing liability insurance / contract review and approval 

·   Define SLAs in conjunction with sales and compose client SOPs. 

·   Meet accuracy and timeliness targets set by management. 

·   Experienced in hiring warehouse Manager and other related positions

·   Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. 

·   Strategically locate and acquire 3PL warehouses.

·   Set up warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization.

·   Manage warehouse equipment leases. 

·   Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security 

·   Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

·   Lead company food grade accreditations for FDA and NSF audits. 

·   Claims management for carriers and customers

·   25% travel required in this job

Required Skills & Abilities: 

·   Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. 

·   Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

·   Knowledge of laws, regulations and food grade certification requirements 

·   Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes. 

·   Excellent communication, written/verbal and interpersonal skills 

·   Advanced Excel skills

·   Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices 

·   Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. 

·   Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. 

·   Attention to detail. 

·   Good knowledge of Midwest market 

·   Minimum of 10 years of working experience

·   Spanish speaking helpful
