What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supervisor, Installation position at OFFICEWORKS SERVICES LLC?
Summary:
Acts as a representative of OfficeWorks to customers and is primarily responsible for training, managing the schedule, and ensuring quality subcontractor assistance during installations. Strives to achieve the company’s mission of “Creating Great Places To Work”.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible (in conjunction with VP of Ops) for hiring & training new installers (both in the office/warehouse and field), including comprehensive product and installation training.
- Oversee training programs to ensure installation team members are proficient in the use of primary manufacturers’ products and equipped with necessary installation techniques.
- Manage the scheduling of installations, ensuring optimal efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Source and oversee manpower for weekly jobs, prioritizing quality and efficiency.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractor groups and ensure their training in OfficeWorks punch technology and product installation procedures.
- Visit job sites utilizing subcontract labor (including Steady Install) to ensure training and quality standards are met.
- Regularly inspect multi-day installations to ensure adequate resources and efficient progress.
- Provide feedback to VP of Operations & subcontractor leaders on the quality of subcontracted labor.
- Manage any onsite changes
- Collaborate with Project Managers on critical or new construction jobs prior to installation.
- Ensure adherence to safety programs and procedures of OfficeWorks and customers.
- Stay updated on new major product lines and proactively train installation team members.
- Implement and promote continuous improvement practices during installations.
- Participate in post-install meetings as needed.
Working Environment: May need to adapt to internal and external environments based on the scope of the client’s project and/or their facility. About 50% of time in the field. These environments may require certain types of safety equipment or have certain company policies that must be adhered to.
Physical Demands: While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, bend, use neck and arms, and routinely lift more than 80 pounds.
