OFT Inc. is a growing food manufacturing company committed to quality, food safety, and efficiency. We are looking for a Production Lead who can ensure smooth operations, uphold food safety standards, and lead our team to success.
Reporting to the Production Shift Manager, the Production Lead will oversee production workers, assign tasks, and coordinate breaks while actively participating in operations. This role requires leadership, problem-solving, and equipment proficiency. Leads will assist with quality concerns, uphold safety and SOP standards, and step into various roles as needed to minimize downtime. Strong communication skills are essential, including leading start-of-day meetings when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Nevada State Food Handlers Card (Health Card).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing production environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and enforce policies.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety Regulations is required.
- Proven ability to maintain high quality standards in a production setting. Clear understanding of Quality control within the food industry.
- Familiarity with Production Machinery and Equipment operation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve production goals. Able to train and correct employees, not following company policies and procedures. Able to uphold food safety, quality control, and standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and Lead production team members to meet daily goals while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Ensure Compliance with HACCP, GMP, and company food safety policies, enforcing high sanitation and quality standards.
- Monitor Equipment & Production to ensure smooth operations, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
- Train & Develop Staff on food safety, proper machine operation, hygiene, and company procedures.
- Communicate Effectively with team members and management to improve workflow, resolve issues, and enhance productivity.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures.
