In this role, you will:
- Provide personalized guidance on college programs and admissions processes.
- Assist students with enrollment, course selection, and schedule adjustments.
- Support recruitment efforts to help students find the right path.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource on all college programs and services.

- Advise prospective students on topics such as program options, job placement, occupational salaries, start dates, financial aid, assessment, career goals, and class availability.
- Communicate with potential students using a variety of methods including in person, email, phone calls, texts, and by utilizing customer relationship management software and student information systems.
- Accurately handle money for student payments, post transactions, and run daily closing procedures, as needed.
- Following current policies and procedures this position will accurately enter data, process forms, and document activities.
- Provide presentations and engaging tours of college programs to potential students, secondary education partners, employers, and community organizations.
- Assist the admissions department with planning and implementation of events, both on and off campus.
- Coordinate with other departments within the college and with community partners and support agencies.
- Help foster a campus climate that respects and values everyone and provides all students an equal opportunity for academic success.
- It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned.
- Two years of experience in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience (customer service, education, communication, human resources, psychology, counseling, social work, or community engagement).
- Ability to speak and present in public.

Education and Experience Preferred:
- Experience in higher education with technical college students is helpful.
- Experience in competency-based training, customer relations management (CRM) system, and student information system is helpful.
- Spanish speaking proficiency is desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is a combination of sitting comfortably at a desk and physical exertion which includes walking for long distances and standing for extended time periods.
- Ability to stand, walk over rough surfaces, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 30 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, work will be performed at the main campus and/or the Collette Mercier campus located at the Business Depot Ogden with the potential for occasional telecommuting. If the incumbent is telecommuting, it is expected to have a suitable home office setup that allows for productive telecommuting work environment. The Admissions office hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Hours subject to change.
- Consistent attendance is essential to fulfilling the responsibilities of the role and maintaining a productive work environment.
- This position requires the incumbent to occasionally travel to community events.
- Position occasionally works in an outdoor environment with exposure to weather related heat and cold, rain, wind, and related elements.
Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm,
Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
